Interdependence Day Celebration in Potrero Hill

You're all invited to come party with your community at 18th and Rhode Island on Wednesday, December 12th from 2-7pm, as part of Interdependence Day, a citywide celebration of urban agriculture and general neighborly connection! (Thanks to www.49farms.org for creating this fantastic event!)

For more info about 18th and Rhode Island, a  5,000-square-foot community-supported food forest you didn't even know would finally help fill that little hole in your heart, go here: www.18thandrhodeislandgarden.org

See the attached flier or below for event details--- Potluck, Farm Tours, Potato Tower Building, Starlight Happy Hour--- yes, we've got something for everyone.

THE DEETS:
2pm: Potluck and Farm Tour  (including coffee donated from our friends at Farley's: http://www.farleyscoffee.com/potrero.html)
3pm: Build your own potato tower to take home with you!  And more farm tours.
5pm-7pm: Best happy hour ever.  BYODrinks and make friends underneath the white-holiday-lights-lit oak tree, before a panoramic view of downtown SF, surrounded by incredible people!  Wear a scarf.  Cookies and children and small well-behaved fuzzy creatures welcome too.

HOLIDAY SALE!
If you've enjoyed watching 18th and Rhode Island grow and you value what the garden brings to your life, consider supporting us with a donation and taking home a sweet gift for your sweetie(s).  We've got hand-drawn seed packets, various plant starts, perennial kale cuttings, compost worms and local onsite-produced honey (courtesy of SF Bee-Cause, http://www.sfbeecause.org/) for donation-based sale on Wednesday, and all month long during volunteer workdays.  Proceeds support the site's basic operations, helping our volunteers keep the garden growing as a gorgeous green space for all to enjoy. Specifically, we sure could use some help covering the cost of next year's summer irrigation for our fruit trees, to start!  So if you still need holiday gifts for your loved ones, this is the place to get 'em!

18th and Rhode Island: it's a beautiful site full of beautiful people.  Let's enjoy it together.
