Home Preparedness in Earthquake Country

Dr. Matt Springer at UCSF frequently gives talks about earthquake precautions and general preparedness (see current schedule).

He will be holding several talks in our area this Spring:

The presentation includes personal experiences in several destructive California earthquakes over the last 4 decades, and gives examples of precautions that can be taken both at home and at work (including discussions of simple furniture bracing, cabinet latches, quake putty, don't hang a heavy picture over your bed, and so on).
