The annual Portola Garden Tour is just around the corner! Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 26 from 10 am – 3 pm. In its ninth year, the Portola Garden Tour is a volunteer effort with all proceeds benefiting the Portola Garden District scholarship for students of City College of San Francisco’s acclaimed Environmental Horticulture and Floristry Department. As in the past, Public Works is a proud sponsor of this community building event.
In addition to seeing great gardens, learning about new plants and getting inspiration for your own backyard, at the end of the day there is a party with lots of food, fun and chances to win prizes. If you toured in previous years, come again to view several new gardens!
Tickets are $25 a piece or $20 each if you get more than one. They are available online and on San Bruno Avenue at Sterling Bank, Fat Belly Deli, Family Connections as well as Flora Grubb Gardens in the Bayview.
Help us spread the word – blast it to your friends, display the poster below and tweet the news to your followers. See www.portolagardentour.com and www.facebook.com/portolagardentour.
Come view the hidden treasures of San Francisco’s garden district!
