Barely a month ago, San Francisco Unified School District officials were toasting the opening of Willie L. Brown Jr. Middle School — a high-tech institution in the Bayview boasting state-of-the-art labs and more.
Now, the SFUSD’s leadership finds itself scrambling to restore stability and fill the void created by the unexpected departure of the school’s top administrator, as questions loom as to why he left.
