Earthquake Safety Implementation Program Epicenter Launch

From Community Action Plan for Seismic Safety,
Earthquake Safety Implementation Program
Please join us as we officially launch the EPICENTER!
Wednesday, August 21, 2013
4 PM -7 PM
245 Third Street, San Francisco

The CAPSS (Community Action Plan for Seismic Safety) Implementation Program, ESIP, has turned a storefront on Third Street into a collaborative space centered around earthquake policy, innovation, and education. This brand new community space will hold seminars and workshops, host a year-round internship program, and serve as a public meeting space. The EPICENTER is a space for the community, design professionals, and city staff to work together on building a safer and more resilient San Francisco through policy discussions, education, and working groups.
The opening will feature live demonstrations of earthquake retrofit solutions, exhibitions featuring earthquake safety work going on in San Francisco, and be an opportunity for the community to get updated on the CAPSS - Earthquake Safety Implementation Program (ESIP).
Design professionals, City officials and staff, community groups and residents will be in attendance and light refreshments will be served. For directions and more information regarding the EPICENTER please visit the CAPSS website.
