Community Work Party in Support of St. Paul's Tabernacle Church

From the event's Facebook page,
The inside of St. Paul's Tabernacle Baptist Church
is tagged with "666," among other things,
after vandals ransacked the church (via KTVU)
Last Thursday the The St. Paul's Tabernacle Church, located on the 1700 block of Oakdale Avenue in the Bayview, was broken in to in the middle of the night, and the vandals spray painted the walls, smashed mirrors, and poured bleach all over the pews. We just visited the church and met with some of the awesome members including Bishop Valentine, Jimmy the secretary and Deacon Osborne and a work party is in order!
Please help to support this community church and to let everyone know that racism and senseless acts of violence like this will NOT BE TOLERATED in our community. We will be painting the interior walls of the church- all materials and lunch will be provided- please just bring yourself, any friends you like, and some work clothes.
We will also be hosting an informal fundraiser at Butchertown Gourmet this Friday evening. Come check out this great new Bayview business, meet neighbors, eat amazing pizza, drink incredible wine and see Earl Thomas, who will be collecting donations for repairs- any amount helps.
Here is more info on this disgusting attack:
