San Francisco wine event company, The Right Blend partners with Hands on Gourmet to present a series of culinary-wine-movie experiences, starting with an inaugural event on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at 6:30 p.m. in Dogpatch, located at 2325 Third St., number 409 in San Francisco. The series will continue every third Thursday of each month. These unique “Wine, Cooking and a Movie” events are open to the public for $ 125 per person. Seating is limited to 40 participants, and early reservations are recommended. Reservations close one week before each event.
We envision these events as enhanced dinner parties, President Molly Fuller of Hands on Gourmet said.
Founder and CEO Clarisse Kostrzewski of The Right Blend said, "They’re part mixer, part cooking class and part wine-education experience where participants will come together to enjoy fine wines and prepare a meal designed around the theme of a movie."
As guests are guided through the steps of prepping their meal, Kostrzewski will mingle and introduce new wines, pointing out nuances in blind tastings and introducing guests to the surprises of wine-food pairings. When dinner is ready, everyone will sit down together to enjoy their creations and take in the film that inspired the evening’s menu.
The first event will feature Big Night, with an Italian-themed menu and wine selections. Future nights may feature Eat Drink Man Woman, Chocolat, Babette’s Feast, Mostly Martha and other enticing films that celebrate the joys of coming together for great food and wine.
Hands On Gourmet creates interactive culinary experiences to build a community around food. It offers dynamic hands-on cooking classes with interactive menus for private parties and corporate team-building events, custom designed for groups of any size, anytime and anywhere.
The Right Blend offers personalized events and wine-education experiences that bring the enjoyment of wines to corporate and social gatherings of all sizes and personalities. Customized wine-consulting services are also available for event planners and caterers.
