Potrero Hill Dem Club November Meeting

From the PHDC's newsletter, Supervisor Cohen, CCSF Trustee Mandelman, Bayview activists to appear  Our regular meeting place - the theater at the Neighborhood House - will be a polling place on election night, so it's back to the Dogpatch Saloon for PHDC's next meeting.  To start, Rafael Mandelman will present his recently-proposed Resolution in Support of City College (the club signed on to the SaveCCSF coalition back in March - but a lot has happened since then).   Supervisor Malia Cohen will be on hand to speak informally and answer questions.  Affordable housing is arguably the most important issue in the city right now.  Concerning an aspect of that issue, Shane Mayer, Co-chair of Bayview Residents Improving Their Environment, and Gwendolyn Westbrook, CEO of the nonprofit United Council of Human Services, will each give their take on the proposed renovation and expansion of a homeless drop-in shelter on Jennings St.   Check the PHDC web site or Facebook page for possible changes to the program.
