As you may know, Supervisors Scott Wiener, Eric Mar, Malia Cohen and John Avalos recently introduced a proposal for the November 2014 ballot to tax sugary beverages, with the proceeds dedicated to food access and nutrition, physical activity, and health programs in public schools, parks and the community.
We will be convening a series of community meetings and outreach efforts on the issue – with the first meeting taking place in District 10. Please join us at this meeting to learn more about the proposal and get your questions answered. Feel free to circulate the flyer to those who you think might be interested.
