TUES SEPT 15th at 7pm: Endorsement meeting #3
★ Proving that Ed Lee is NOT running unopposed, Mayoral candidates Francisco Herrera, Amy Farah Weiss, and Dan Kappler (write-in), and possibly someone else who has repeatedly been invited, will discuss and debate the issues vital to San Franciscans. Moderated by PHDC board member J.R. Eppler. Audience Q&A too.
★ Actually unopposed candidate City Attorney Dennis Herrera will speak briefly about his accomplishments in office.
★ These props will be covered (click on titles for summaries):
B - Paid Parental Leave for City Employees
G - Disclosures Regarding Renewable Energy
H - Defining Clean, Green, and Renewable Energy
Supervisor Katy Tang will speak in favor of Prop B, and a PHDC board member will present the lone Republican opponent's arguments (this will also happen for Prop H). Prop G is now officially supported by no one, not even its original sponsors. Prop H is the (mostly) preferred substitute. Eric Brooks will discuss both G and H.
★ In addition, Brent Turner will briefly speak about Open-Source Voting.
The meeting will end with members* voting and ballots being counted.
WHEN: Tuesday, Sept 15th at 7pm
WHERE: Potrero Hill Neighborhood House, 953 De Haro St at Southern Hts.
*Members in good standing, whose 2015 dues are current (new members must have joined PHDC at least 2 months prior to the endorsement meeting), and who have attended at least 2 meetings or other PHDC-sponsored events in the past year, may vote either in person or by absentee ballot.
