Great turnout at the forum in Vis Valley tonight. We candidates need to learn more about Vis Valley's issues, as a group. About a month ago, I read a statistic that surprised me - overall crime risk in Bayview is lower than the national average, while it is much higher than average in Vis Valley. We need to take better care of each other. I was happy to hear a lot of optimism, though. This election has been remarkable in the degree of collaboration among candidates, and I don't think it's just the ranked-choice voting strategies talking. I think we have some real communication and district-wide connection going on for the first time in a long time.
