On December 5th at 6:50 pm, officers responded to a call of a robbery that occurred on the MUNI T-Line in the area of 3rd and Key. Arriving officers located the 27 year old victim who told them that he was seated on the bus and was listening to music on his iPhone when he was approached by two suspects. The first punched him in the face several times and demanded his phone. The second suspect then punched the victim as well and one of them grabbed the phone away from him. The suspects got off the bus at 3rd and Key and fled on foot. The victim suffered an injury to his eye as a result of the incident for which he was treated at the scene by medics.
The officers were able to locate a witness to the incident who corroborated the victim’s story, adding that there were actually a total of four suspects who got off the bus together and fled. The officers obtained descriptions of all the suspects involved and searched the area but could not locate them that evening. The surveillance footage from the MUNI coach that may have captured the incident is still pending. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 110975959)

On December 7th, officers responded to a call of a burglary that had occurred overnight at a business on the 1900 block of Evans. The responding officers met with the owner of the establishment who stated that he had left the business secured on the previous night at 7:00 pm. When he returned the following morning at 9:30 am, he discovered damage to the roll up door to the building as well as a stolen computer and a damaged cashbox that had all the currency inside removed.
During the officers’ investigation, they found that the roll up door had been damaged by the suspect when he attempted to use a car jack to lift the door. This caused the metal siding of the building to bend back, creating a hole large enough for the suspect to fit through. This incident may have been captured on the surveillance video that was in place inside the establishment. The footage from those tapes is being obtained as part of the investigation. On December 7th, officers responded to a home on the 1400 block of Revere regarding a possible burglary. They spoke with the victim, who stated that she left her house secured, with the exception of an unlocked bedroom window, when she left that morning at 8:00 am. The victim stated that she returned at 2:00 pm to find that all the furniture that she had stored in her garage was missing. The victim explained that all the furniture in the garage belonged to an ex- roommate of hers. No other items that belonged to the victim were removed from the house. The victim told the officers that she believed her ex- roommate was the one that entered the house through the open window, without permission, to take back her furniture. The victim provided the officers with the name and identifying information of the suspect. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 110981003)

On December 7th at 10:17 am, officers were patrolling in the area of McKinnon and Newhall, which is an area known for narcotics sales and usage, in response to the numerous complaints from citizens regarding the drug related criminal activity in the area.
One of the officers, from a position of concealment, obtained a clear and unobstructed view of a drug transaction on the 1200 block of Newhall. He observed one suspect use
his hand to drop what appeared to be a crack cocaine rock into the hand of another subject. Both were detained. As the officers approached the suspect seen handing off the rock, he began crushing something up between his fingers. The officers recognized the crumbs that fell from the suspects hand as broken crack cocaine. They placed the suspect under arrest and located two more crack rocks in the suspect’s pants pocket along with a used glass pipe commonly used for smoking narcotics.
When the officers detained the second subject, she immediately handed the cocaine rock to one of the officers advising him that he could have it. She also handed the officer three glass smoking pipes that she had on her person. She was placed under arrest as well. Both suspects were transported to Bayview Station where they were booked on narcotics related charges. (SFPD Case No. 110980011)

On December 7th at 1:45 pm, a Bayview resident had just left his home on the 1200 block of Gilman and was walking in the area as he talked on his iPhone. The 33 year victim was approached by four suspects (three males and a female). The victim told the officers that one of the male suspects punched him in the face and grabbed his cell phone. Immediately after the robbery, the suspects fled on foot west on Gilman toward 3rd. The officers searched the area for the possible suspects but could not locate them that afternoon. On December 7th at 3:15, officers conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle for a traffic infraction in the area of 3rd and Quesada. Immediately on making contact with the driver and his passengers, the officers smelled a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the interior of the vehicle. They removed the driver and his two occupants from the car and conducted a search of the vehicle for contraband. The officers located a backpack in the trunk of the car that contained indicia indicating that the bag belonged to one of the passengers. Inside the bag, the officers also found a glass jar containing 22.9 grams of marijuana as well as a plastic bag containing 8 grams of marijuana. The owner of the backpack admitted to the bag and its contents as belonging to him and was placed under arrest. Additionally, officers found a digital scale with marijuana residue on it in the center console of the vehicle. They seized this evidence as well. The suspect, who had a previous arrest record for possession of marijuana and narcotics for sale, was booked at Bayview Station. The driver of the vehicle as well as the other passenger were identified, cited and released. (SFPD Case No. 110980867)

On December 7th between 5:00 pm and 7:30 pm, a burglary occurred on the 700 block of Missouri. The responding officers met with the victim who told them that she had left her apartment secured when she left that evening. On her return, she noticed that the blanket that covered the kitchen window had been moved and the window was open. She also
found that the front door was no longer locked and that a television set and cell phone were missing from her living room. It is believed that the suspect entered the apartment through the unlocked kitchen window and left through the front door. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 110981655)

On December 8th at 12:52 pm, an off duty SFPD officer was in the area of San Bruno and Felton when he saw a suspect he recognized from a “wanted poster” getting into the passenger side of car in the area. The off duty officer immediately called dispatch on his cell phone and notified them of the incident. He continued to follow the suspect vehicle in his personal car until Bayview units were able to take over and successfully pulled the car over at Bayshore and Jerrold. They made contact with the passenger and confirmed that he was in fact a wanted individual with a $2,000,000 warrant for his arrest for assault, mayhem, and robbery. The suspect was placed under arrest. A search of his person revealed a baggie of methamphetamine for which an additional narcotics charge was added when the suspect was booked at Bayview Station. On December 9th at 1:35 am, officers responded to the area of 3rd and Williams regarding a stabbing. They located a 55 year old victim with a stab wound to his left armpit. The officers immediately obtained medical transportation for the victim to San Francisco General Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries. The victim told the officers that he was sleeping inside of a park in the area of Mendell and Galvez when he was awoken to a female and male arguing. The victim stated that he knew the female subject by her first name and knew her to be a local in the area. The victim said that he became angry at being woken up and began to yell at the female suspect. This enraged her further and she pulled out a box cutter and stabbed the victim with it. The victim said he fled the area to call for help. The officers searched the entire park and surrounding areas for the suspect but could not locate her that morning. Between December 6th at 7:35 pm and 8:30 am the following day, a beige Honda Accord was stolen from the 200 block of Charter Oak. (SFPD Case No. 110979672)
On December 7th at 9:00 pm, a light blue Honda Accord was stolen from the 900 block of Carolina. (SFPD Case No. 110983372)

Auto Burglaries
On December 5th at 11:50 am, a vehicle in the area of Paul and 3rd was burglarized. The front window was smashed and a laptop was stolen from the vehicle. (SFPD Case No. 110974650)
On December 7th at 1:30 pm, a vehicle in the area of Irwin and 7th was burglarized. The rear passenger window was smashed and backpack and air gun were stolen from the vehicle. (SFPD Case No. 110980710)
On December 7th at 2:00 pm, a vehicle in the area of Irwin and 7th was burglarized. The front passenger window was smashed and backpack and iPod were stolen from the vehicle. (SFPD Case No. 110980635)
December 7th between 3:00 pm and 10:30 am the next morning, a vehicle in the area of Galvez and Newhall was burglarized. The inverter and car battery were stolen from the car. (SFPD Case No. 110982675)
All of the above auto thefts are under investigation
