More at SFGateThe sunshine in this southeastern neighborhood attracted immigrants who grew roses, marigolds and other cut flowers inside greenhouses, raised livestock on farms and operated small businesses on the street that locals simply referred to as the Road. Today's cafes, diners, bakeries, delicatessens and markets reflect the diverse heritage of the neighborhood's residents and offer an afternoon of culinary delights.
