Our little project won a NEN (Neighborhood Empowerment Network) Award at a City Hall ceremony last week. Progress Park was selected as San Francisco’s outstanding Community Challenge Grant project of 2012. Martin Luther King Day, now is celebrated across the country by anyone who wants to honor Dr. King’s memory by dedicating a few hours of volunteer time to participate in an activity that benefits needy individuals or serves the community. What: Join the celebration by helping us do some planting in the park. Tools and gloves will be provided.
