Teen shot in Visitation Valley

From SFAppeal,
A teenage boy was injured in a shooting in San Francisco's Visitacion Valley neighborhood on Monday night, police said.

The shooting was reported at 9:48 p.m. near Sunnydale Avenue and Britton Street SFPD said. (A look at a map suggests that the two streets appear not to intersect, so we called SFPD for clarification of the incident's location, and will update when we hear back -- EB)

The 15-year-old victim was walking in the area when he was shot.

He was taken to a hospital by an acquaintance, police said.

His injuries are not considered life-threatening, according to police.

No arrests have been made in the case. Anyone with information about the shooting is encouraged to call the Police Department's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
Hmmm, where are the demonstrations and protests over this and the countless other acts of gun violence and death in our city?
