A teenage boy was injured in a shooting in San Francisco's Visitacion Valley neighborhood on Monday night, police said.Hmmm, where are the demonstrations and protests over this and the countless other acts of gun violence and death in our city?
The shooting was reported at 9:48 p.m. near Sunnydale Avenue and Britton Street SFPD said. (A look at a map suggests that the two streets appear not to intersect, so we called SFPD for clarification of the incident's location, and will update when we hear back -- EB)
The 15-year-old victim was walking in the area when he was shot.
He was taken to a hospital by an acquaintance, police said.
His injuries are not considered life-threatening, according to police.
No arrests have been made in the case. Anyone with information about the shooting is encouraged to call the Police Department's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
