Dogpatch

The Dogpatch is one of the few places in the city where you'll see construction cranes and signs of revitalization despite our crappy economy.  I love walking through it and seeing the daily changes that are happening here.

In today's "Street Date" column at SFGate, reporter Stephanie Wright Hession picks six places that "symbolizes the ongoing transformation of this traditionally blue-collar neighborhood," from the Union Iron Works Machine Shop building (No. 113) at 20th and Illinois streets to Piccino at 1001 Minnesota St.
