In San Francisco, Ryan Scott is using his experience from his food truck 3-Sum Eats and the bygone Myth Cafe to provide quick meals to a few new neighborhoods. Last year, Scoop reported that Scott signed a lease in West Portal. The cafe, to be named Please & Thank You (68 West Portal Ave.), is still on track for February, but he's also found a second location that will serve as his headquarters.
The second location, due in April or so, will be in Potrero Hill (300 De Haro St.), and will be a "grown-up version" of the West Portal one, housing a retail space, rotisserie and full kitchen.
Scott jokes that he wants to give the neighborhood an alternative to the $19 salads at Whole Foods, promising that none of his goods will be priced by the pound.
