John Wildermuth of SFGate writes in today's Chronicle about the ramping up of development at San Francisco's Pier 70.
"A plan to breathe life into the decaying remnants of San Francisco's industrial past is on track as the city nears an agreement to convert the aging brick buildings of Dogpatch's historic Pier 70 into a vibrant part of the waterfront.
"Sometime in December, the Board of Supervisors is expected to approve an agreement with Orton Development for a $100 million project to restore the core of the 65-acre pier, rehabbing six historic buildings into space for office workers, retailers, artists and manufacturing companies."
