Visitacion Valley Planning Alliance Meeting

VISITACION VALLEY PLANNING ALLIANCE

VERY IMPORTANT MEETING:
Saturday, November 10, 10 am - 12 pm
Visitacion Valley Library Community Room
Leland Avenue near corner of Rutland Avenue

AGENDA:

AUTO RETURN FACILITY
A representative from the Municipal Transportation Agency (MTA) will discuss the recent lease of the 2650 Bayshore site for a San Francisco Auto Return Facility for towed autos.
There was no notification about this facility coming to the Valley and little consideration of its impacts on our neighborhood. We need to find out what will be the effects of this facility on the already congested traffic situation on Bayshore, noise levels and the overall effect on the homes adjacent to the site (as well as the rest of the Valley).

GROCERY OUTLET
The Grocery Outlet chain will be opening a grocery store at the Silvestri Statuary space sometime next summer. The CEO, MacGregor Read, and Rich Peterson from the law firm of Goodyear Peterson will discuss this new addition to the Valley. The Grocery Outlet has offered to hire a bus to give our residents a tour of their new store in South San Francisco at a later date. We can discuss if there is interest in taking advantage of this offer at our meeting. If we decide to go on the tour, we should let others throughout the neighborhood know. The arrival of this new grocery store will change the dynamics of planning for Schlage Lock and we need to figure out our next steps during the ongoing community planning process.
