Southeast Community Facility Public Art Project – Request for Qualifications

The goal of the atrium remodel is to create a more inviting usable space, with greater visual and physical connection between the lower level new café and the entry lobby.
ART OPPORTUNITIES
The interior is in need of color, articulation, and enlivenment. A new, brighter, less monolithic color scheme could help articulate the sculptural qualities of the atrium, and help mitigate the overly high ceiling.  Large wall spaces, particularly the elevator lobby wall, represent the major opportunity for a commissioned artwork in any durable material. Sculptural elements in the new café may also be a possibility.  Blank walls in the halls provide an opportunity for two-dimensional artwork.
