Last Chance: Geneva-Harney BRT-CAC

Last chance to apply for the Geneva-Harney
Bus Rapid Transit
Community Advisory Committee

The SFCTA is undertaking a Feasibility Study to explore transit and street improvements on Geneva Avenue and Harney Way, focusing on a new bus line to provide an east-west connection in the border area between San Francisco and San Mateo County. The corridor extends from Balboa Park BART/Muni Station in the west to Hunters Point Shipyard in the east, including a connection to the Bayshore Caltrain Station. Improvements could include dedicated bus lanes and traffic signal upgrades to support fast and reliable transit, as well as streetscape enhancements to improve pedestrian conditions.

To provide input on the potential improvements and advice on reaching the broader community, we are seeking members for the Geneva-Harney BRT Feasibility Study Community Advisory Committee (GHCAC). The Authority is actively recruiting to fill vacancies for member seats representing the Bayview/Hunters Point, Crocker Amazon, the Excelsior, the Outer Mission, Oceanview, Merced, and Ingleside neighborhoods.

If you or someone you know is interested in being a part of this study, application forms are due by 5pm on Monday, September 30th, 2013.
