The SFMTA is planning an 18-month pilot project that would allow private commuter shuttles to share a limited network of Muni bus zones. Eligible shuttle service providers would pay for permits to use these selected bus zones. For more information on the pilot project please see their webpage.
To provide specific street and stop condition information, go to the interactive map at http://sfcommutershuttles.sfmta.com and click on 'Add a Location.' Move the map to place the red marker on the location you are providing feedback on and submit information that will help SFMTA answer the following questions:
- If there are multiple shuttle stops in your neighborhood, would you prefer them to be concentrated at a central location or distributed?
- Which Muni stops should be included in the pilot network?
- Are there any locations that you notice shuttles stopping that aren’t Muni bus zones?
- Are there locations where there are operational issues like traffic that you see or experience around the shuttles?
- Are there locations that you feel are inappropriate for shuttle stops, why – and where should these shuttles stop instead?
