  1. Bravo! The bridge over the slough represents short-sightedness. Anyone who has wandered D10's waterfront knows the future of San Francisco will play out heavily on these shores, if done right. Think Crissy Field, Aquatic Park, the Embarcadero. Plus, D10 has the potential for green technologies, wetland recreation and a variety of approaches to clean water and show thoughtful, forward looking ways that lands previously abused by the industrial-military complex and others can be reclaimed. We have the best weather, we have the most waterfront, and we have amazing views. Do the waterfront right, and developers will kill to be able and build on it. Building bridges over a wetland restoration just makes sense to get people to the ball game, if that happens, and saves only a few minutes for proposed BRT (bus rapid transit)lines. Extend the Bay Trail throughout? Tie Bayview Hill into the mix? If we're going to do it, let's do it right, and maximize the waterfront and open spaces in ways that increases the environmental and public health, and shows thoughtful revitalization.
