You are cordially invited to a morning of nature exploration and community action in John McLaren Park!
Saturday, October 27
9AM - 1PM
Meet at the Mansell/Visitacion parking lot.
We will start the day with a short tour of the southern slopes fire
region to learn about and discuss what's gone and what's already coming back. Then we'll spend a couple of hours cleaning up trash along the park's roadways and within its natural areas, and finally, enjoy a sumptuous free picnic lunch.
The event is sponsored by Save McLaren Park and SFRPD's Natural Areas Program, with additional support from the McLaren Park Collaborative.
You can download a flyer for the event here, feel free to print it out and post it around.
Here is the EventBrite event information and registration page . Of course registration isn't required, we're happy to see anyone who shows up, but we would appreciate it so we can anticipate how many folks we'll have.
We hope to see you there!
