Why: The Environmental Assessment (pdf) has been distributed via hardcopy, email, the main branch of the local library on Larkin and is available for public review and comment through June 10th http://www.sfmta.com/cms/mproj/MissionBayLoop.htm. Some neighbors who live along the loop have expressed opposition to the project at this location. A key purpose of the meeting will be to share any outstanding concerns with the SFMTA Transit Division regarding the project’s purpose, perceived/real impacts, connection to Central Subway and the constraints of alternative loop locations.
All interested residents, stakeholders and decision makers (or their representative) should attend. It is important that all parties (SFMTA, FTA, Mayor’s office, Supervisor Cohen’s office, etc.) be in the same room to have a discussion and hear from one another.
