If you're a Bayview resident, you can learn about what's happening--both positive and negative--in your neighborhood by attending BRITE's general meeting:
Saturday, June 15
10am - 11:30am
Bayview Library Community Room
Founded in 2011, BRITE (Bayview Residents Improving Their Environment) is a non-profit group of residents, working professionals, artists, and entrepreneurs working on four fronts:
- Neighborhood Beautification (eradicating blight on Third Street, flower baskets on Mendell Plaza)
- Art and Culture Innovation (Mendell Plaza Presents music series)
- Business Activitation (The BRITE IDEA Invitational)
- Civic Engagement (Torino's Market, security at Friendly Liquors, etc.)
