Grocery Outlet is planning to open a new store at 2630 Bayshore Blvd (current home of Silvestri's Statuary). As part of the approval process they MUST have a "Pre-Application Meeting".
Grocery Outlet is considered a "Formula Retail" business and all "Formula Retail" businesses seeking to open in San Francisco must first notice and schedule a meeting with the intermediate neighbors. In other words Grocery Outlet is a chain store and San Francisco REQUIRES new chain stores to give the community a heads up before the Planning Department starts issuing permits.
