The Potrero Hill Democratic Club will hold its April meeting tonight, Tuesday, April 2nd, at the Potrero Hill Neighborhood House, 953 DeHaro at Southern Heights. Please join us at 6:45pm for socializing and snacks, followed by the program at 7:00pm.
This month's featured topic is Water Policy for San Francisco and Beyond.
With increased population, climate change, and the inevitable coming of the "big one," securing San Francisco's water supply will require creative and forward-looking plans.
Come hear from experts about these and other water issues in the city and the state. Special guests:
Jennifer Clary - Program Manager, Clean Water Action
Ellen Levin - Deputy Manager, SF Public Utilities Commission
Adam Scow - California Campaigns Director, Food & Water Watch
Each will give his or her perspectives on water's future, from our own backyard to the State Capitol - including, of course, much Q&A and exchange of ideas.
There will also be updates and discussion about recent meeting topics, including gun control, the DISCLOSE Act, and the City College accreditation crisis.
