Where once stood a carwash, and on a lot that has been vacant since 1999, Carpenter's Union Local 22 will soon be following through on the signage that has announced their move to the Bayview for years.

The United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local Union 22 is planning to construct a five-story office and assembly building for the union at the corner of Third Street and Cargo Way, just south of the Islais Creek Channel at the entrance to Bayview, a site which has been sitting vacant since a gas station and car wash on site were demolished in 1999.
As one commenter says, "Enjoy the smell of your local neighborhood rendering plant!"
Now, if only we can get a decent piece of artwork on the opposite sides of the intersection...
